Chief Ronald A. Ricucci of the Takoma Park Police Department announces the formation of a Police Chief’s Advisory Committee.  This Committee will meet monthly with the Chief to discuss issues, problems and complaints.  The Committee will be made up of 12 citizens – one from each ward, as well as representatives from the business, educational and religious communities, and at large.  The Chief will keep members informed of departmental activities.  They will receive updated advisories and alerts on crime.  Members of the Committee will be invited to departmental events.  This is another step in our community policing partnership.

Any resident who is interested please e-mail me at ronaldr@takomagov.org or call me at 301.891.7104.  Our ultimate goal is to create more communication and participation from our residents with our police department.  It is my hope that this community policing iniative will improve upon citizen understanding of our police department and its personnel.  Working together, we will improve the quality of life in our City.  It is my goal that the first meeting will take place during the month of November.
